  • exhaust tips constricting air flow?

i asked this queston in my other thread in the appearance forum, but no one answered. so here it goes.

i have a full 3" system from headers to the inlet of my muffler and then i have 2.5" out of the muffler and 2.5" tailpipes. my tips however (z28 style, stainless steel) are 2.25 inlet.. does this constrict the flow at all? bottleneck it in the least bit? ive heard your exhaust is only as big as your thinnest part/pipe.. but i think that the tips are so far back that it doesnt matter.

        Two 2.25" pipes flow more than one 3". 10.125*pi > 9*pi.
