New cat

I know everyone suggests a catco but with all I hear about throwing codes I thought I'd look into something different. I found this magnaflow cat on ebay

And I'm wondering if its a good choice. My next question would be should I purchase the 02 sensor bung they make mention of? Do I need a sim or do I just purchase the cat and hand it to my mechanic?

I think all high flow cats throw a code if the car has an O2 sensor after the cat. most people just get O2 sim's to get rid of the code.

Will the code have any effect on if I pass an inspection or not? Or is it just so I don't see the ses anymore? I just moved to mn recently and still have to have the car inspected.
