  • Its finally fixed!!!!

Finally after 4 long months my exhaust leak is totally fixed, no more ticking...no more go kart...no more stupid looks!!! I recommend to anybody who gets pacesetter headers or headers for that instance to not use the paper gaskets and go ahead and buy GM stock gaskets and safe yourself the trouble...yes some have not had problems with the paper gaskets but some have, in the end you buy the stock metal ones and you have no worries at all...in the long run its better. Now i can actually enjoying riding in my car instead of hearing a stupid leak. Thank God :D :D

Yepp.. just got them.. they are pretty typical looking.. basicly two thick sheets of metal pinned together.. and they look properly formed in all the right places..

I dont have the PN here.. but for the two i needed it was like.. $14 shipped from gm paarts direct.. only took 4 days to get them..

Deffinetly a power gain from fixing the leak. After all those times under the car..or messing with the EGR. IF anybody thinks they have a leak i would say check the gasket and then work your way to other things ex. y-pipe or egr. Its probably the gaskets.

Wazup, congrats on getting your problem fixed. In your personal oppionion, was there any change in sound with the headers on properly as opposed to stock manifolds?

I just had my gaskets replaced but I still have a rattle that appears to be coming from the y-pipe area when the car is in gear and when i start it up, any idea on what it could be???

Like what kind of rattle is it? Is it constant when idleing and driving or just one? Go under the car and and tap a few things to see if anything is loose. Yes the sound has deff changed from the headers compared to the stock manifolds. It gets quieter in a good way and deeper but i guess it all depends on the type of muffler you have, that will vary in sound as well
