• Looking for clear whisper lid for 98 firebird

I am desperately seeking a clear airlid for my 1998 firebird. i have seen a clear one on an F body before and I think it looks great. I found a carbon fiber one but at 170 bucks (not including shipping) its not what i want to pay for it. Its too much...

But if anyone knows of any place that sells a clear one for V6's i will be their best friend. Thanks!

The Clear Lid is made for the LS1.
There are no known Clear Lids out for the L36.

You know what, after posting i emailed a few places that sold lids and they told me that there are none for the V6 that are clear PLUS they dont recommend them cause they turn cloudy.

I am now searching for a regular black whisper lid for a cheap price and i am going to add something to it (some sort of painted on design or firebird decal) only cause a plain black lid is just too boring for me.

Thanks for the reply though.

RedAutomobile on this board has a clear lid, it looks sweet. Plus he has a 1998 Firebird.

I've got one too. I made an LS1 lid work on my car. Looks wicked cool.

Lord_Verminaard--- do you have a pic? I know you can use dryer duct on a lid but i am sure it will want to slip off since there isnt a big area for it to clamp to... basically the plastic would be too slippery right?

Sorry, dont have pics yet. I am eventually going to need to shave part of the rear of the airbox down a bit because the fit is a little too tight and I'm afraid it will break the lid. But I used the stock air hoses, and turned the curved one 90* and connected them with a piece of 3" PVC. It looks like a factory install. I'll post pics when I get them.
