problem: headers install on tuesday..
egr and o2 sim not here till thursday....
question: i know the O2 sim wont be a drivability issue, but will it be ok missing the whole egr setup? i wont have to drive it far during those days, maybe 20 miles max.
and if i keep the rear O2 sensor tied up in the engine compartment out of the way it wont hurt anything

just disconnect the rear o2 sensor and throw it in the trash if you have a sim coming.. it won't do you any good ziptied to something in your engine bay.

on the exhaust side: without the egr aren't you gonna have hot exhaust gas in your engine compartment? not a huge deal, unless there's some plastic right near there that's gonna melt.
on the intake side: does your car even run?? having that big hole in the intake is gonna screw up your fuel ratio like crazy...i dunno if your pcm can compensate enough for that, but it might be able to ((shrugs)) imho, it isn't gonna run great. maybe get some duct tape to put over the hole?
i suppose that the big holes would cause some problems, maybe i can just leave it there till i get the simz.

Went ahead and moved my starter wire from the back, to the front again since it had no effect on my drain on the battery. Also made me nervous driving...
