I was this close: > <
to putting a loudmouth on my car. But I dont think I would have passed emission's testing in Cali with them.

I'd say hell yes to the loudmouth - I think its the most aggressive sounding exhaust I have heard on our cars.

The V8 one with the LT1 adapter kit and dual-dual polished tips... Stainless steel, just a resonator. :D

Inspection checks for a cat, not a muffler. Should have no problems there.

Anyone know how it sounds on a V6? My Flowmaster sounds mean, but could use a little louder idle and less rice in the high rpm's.

you're talking emmissions testing. i'm talking noise regulations, at least in NJ.

Hmm... well, the loudmouth does sound sweet on a V8, never heard one on a V6 though... I was planning on putting the loudmouth on my SS when I get it soon, but I've changed my mind and I plan on getting GMMG's chambered exhaust (http://www.gmmginc.net/html/chamberedexhaust.shtml) which without a doubt has the sweetest sound on a V8. Once again, no clue what that would sound like on a V6. Plus it's kinda expensive.

The price is what turned me away from GMMG - but yes that is a very nice system!

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
