  • MAF Screen Removal..I did it but....

O.K, I did a search, but didn't find what I was looking for so heres my questions:
    1. Should I reset the PCM?
    2. I have the flow master 80, 3" i pipe, stock cat and s pipe, I noticed some back firing after driving around for a few minutes, is this normal?
It seemed to get better the longer I drove.

BTW, I didn't get an SES light (on a 97), this has got to be the easiets mod ever, as long as it works.

I don't believe that you have to reset the PCM, I took mine off for like 2 days...But my exhaust smelled like *** , so I put it back on. I did not notice any performance gains at all :(

I took mine off and noticed a better throttle response and ran a bit cooler also. But that's about all I saw

I have a 97 with an SLP CAI, I noticed better throttle response, a little deeper sound, and a little rougher idle. Last year my filters fell off, I didn't know it, and I had to flush my radiator and engine. It was almost a fatal incident. Other then that I believe it's okay to do. I've had mine off for about 10 months and my car is fine.
