I have a awful magnaflow muffler on my car righ now but am gettin ready to ourchase something nice to go on it. i am looking at Borla and Corsa catback systems.what do ya"ll think about the two systems. Also the guy from corsa said theres was made for the v8 and would not work on the v6. Is this true or will it fit. Thanks guys

The corsa can always be slightly modified by any competant muffler shop to fit - but the Borla is a direct bolt on if you buy the 3.8 Kit.

Its your choice, I have only heard them both on V8s and dont know how throaty they would be on a v6. However, being the v6 has the same bore/stroke as a 5.0L V8 :D It should sound pretty kickass whichever one you buy.

If you just want to replace the muffler with something that sounds a lot better than that magnaflow, I recommend a flowmaster 80. I've got one, and honestly I have no complaints. It rumbles nice at idle, opens up and grunts when you put your foot down, and as long as the engine is under load when revved (i.e. gunning it through the gears instead of sitting parked and revving) it never sounds ricey.

Goodluck on your choice, sorry you had bad luck with the Magnaflow. I've got a pretty good soundfile of my flowmaster if you'd like me to email it, at least it'd give you an idea of what something else might sound like.

I have the Bolra exhaust and would recomend it over the Corsa. The Borla I have is designed for the 93 to 95 single cat V8, which is 3" all the way back. The local muffler shop replaced the stock cat which is 3" in and 2"1/2 out with a high flow 3" in and out cat. It was some wheer around $140 for the bigger cat which you will need for the Borla. As for sound you have plates to change the tone but i run it straight it goes through a cat then over the axle and out. It sounds really great deep mellow tone when idleing and a throaty roar on take off whit a load echo on down shifts and stopping. I would recomend Borla if you want i can give you a sound clip. It will sound a lil different than yours b/c mine has some other work done to it.
