ive got 12000 miles on my super turbo...and let me tell you it gets better when its broke in...i had this old guy in a firehawk pull up next to me and say NICE Z28 looks good with no badges. Im like hey its a V6 not a V8 and he almost crapped himself. He said it sounded AWESOME for a v6. I was proud of my choice of exhaust then. YOu figure a firehawk owner would know the difference between the sound of a V6 and a V8. :D

Hey Jason, what's the full rundown on your exhaust mods? What kind of tips are you using?

I've got CIA headers, a Random Tech 3"in/2.5"out high-flow cat, stock I-pipe, 2.5"in/out Flowmaster 40 Series, and no tip just a hidden turndown.

I'm planning on switching to the Dynomax SuperTurbo 2.5"in/dual 2.5"out and using some stock Z28 tips. I'm also thinking of going to a 2.5" I-pipe. I'm still trying to verify the existence of a mandrel-bent one from Dynomax.

Ive got 2.5in pipe from the cat back. 2,5 in/out super turbo and after that its just dual chrome tips. 2.5 all the way. dont have a high flow cat or headers yet. ALTHOUGHT im thinking about headers i dunno what im gonna gain considering the 2000+ exhaust manifolds flow pretty good, so thats why ive held off on headers for now.

I have my stock tips on mine right now, They look like the WS6 tips, so I figured that I don't need to switch, cuz they are in good shape still.
Jason that is awesome that, that firehawk owner thought that you had a V8 that is funny. I can't wait till college starts back up then I can get some responses like that back :D

It's cool you're satisfied with the muffler Wolfy. If you decide to get some dual tips, jegs got hooker dual tips for about 65 bucks for both, BUT they're not stainless. With stainless you're gonna pay alot more.

Yep, a few different people at various muffler shops told me I had pretty good headers on my car already. I was thinking about getting headers, but no time soon.

Where'd you get the dynomax from? What's the part number for it? I want one.

If you have an 00+ car with the tubular manifolds, I wouldn't even think about headers. In retrospect, I wouldn't have put headers on my car if I had known what a pain in the *** it was going to be. You get almost no gain. Only reason to put them on would be if you're going to run NOS, blower or turbo.

Most muffler shops sell Dynomax. If yours doesn't, then you can order it from SummitRacing.com or Jegs.com. Price is about $45, P/N is 17739 (or WLK-17739 if you're doing a search on Summit).

Thanks! I'm getting tired of my 80 flow's... the sound hasn't changed much, and I need something new! Goodbye Flowmaster...
