  • I need some info from one v6 to another

Alrighty. In the GP world, Im told that 3" all the way back is way to much. I think I might have seen people here with 3" all the way. I really want to know what to expect and if it will help or hurt my performance. Any info would be appreciated.

i dont think you will get anyone here to admit a loss in performance by going to 3". im converting from 2 1/2" cat back to headers and full 3" in the next couple of weeks. Ill let you know.

People say you "lose" low end torque when infact you dont. I dont care what people have said, you DONT lose low end torque, infact, you pick up more torque and it only SLIGHTLY adjusts the torque curve to give it more peak power and more power across the curve period.

Less exhaust is better. At the track I pick up 2 mph running an open y-pipe. So no it is not too much.

I've got pacesetter headers...which I think are 2 1/2 inches and then 3inch borla all the way back and I sure as hell can't complain at all. People who say 3 is too much are just fools.

Put it this way... you won't gain as much torque as you will horsepower by going to 3" exhaust. Thats the only way you can "lose" torque.

I'm gonna get a custom 5" setup put on next week. Maybe some 5" headers as well. Zero back pressure for me ;)
