Y87 vs Stock z28?

Except for the inlet and the type of pipes in the back of course... But the muffler itself?

Got a pic of a stock Z28 muffler? I remember what my stock Y87 muffler looked like. I might be able to tell by looking at them. [img]smile.gif[/img]

the V8 exhausts are supposed to flow better than the V6; if you recall the camaro RS and 'bird gt models that SLP put out, the "performance exhaust" (V8 to you and me) was supposed to be worth 5 extra hp. i know they sound very different (Y87 and V8) so i wouldn't be surprised if their claim was true.

i've said it about 100 times before and i'll say it 100 times more: the sound from the V8 systems on the V6 is not quite [img]graemlins/bowdown.gif[/img] but definitely [img]graemlins/thumbsup.gif[/img]

main reason I am looking is converting my car to Y87 specs, for autocross... all I care about is LSD, but I have to do the complete package...


Actually now that I think about it, I woudl have to change my steering rack as well :(

You have to change the steering rack to a Y87 rack if you flash the computer to Y87 specs?

but if you want ot apply to some autocrossing clubs you have to conver the steering box...

Oh k, good, didn't want to do that to since I put a z28 rear end in my car and have to flash the pcm yet to y87 specs.
