So whats the best way to remove the studs (on the stock manifold) that didn't come out with the nuts? I still have 3 on the driver's side in there.. (including one that is broken but I can still grab it with plyers)

Run another one of the nuts onto the stud right up to the remaining nut...now with two on there, torque on the one closer to the head. This way the nuts will not come off, but the stud will Make any sense Bo? Call me if you need to. 438-6977

I just used vice grips to do it....it is very very hard to get them off though.

yea 5.5mm socket will get them off.. except eh one I broke... vice grips won't stay on it but the headers are on either way. If my mechanic at work can't fix it to the exhaust shop it goes to get that stud removed.

You gotta grip them hella hard....i had the vice grips closed down and used that to lock them down onto the stud....took about 15 minutes per stud.

BTW, if both nuts came off you didnt tighten them together enough...
