I want to get the Flowmaster American Thunder Cat Back from Summit for $280. Should I also get a new cat. conv., maybe a Catco Hi-Flow cat? If I don't really need it, I don't want to have to get one.
I'm not sure how old the one I have on it now is because I bought the car used. I have a 96 3.8 Camaro. Does anyone have this exhaust, if so let me know how it is! Thanks in advance. Teele

The Flowmaster kit is all bolt-on. When you get a cat your gonna need to weld it. No problem if you have a welder, but if not, I would just get it and see how you like the sound, then add a new cat. I wanted to get a hi-flow too, but I am glad I held off. I cant stand the noise the muffler make with a restrictive cat. just my .02

Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
