  • High Flow Cat or Straight Pipe

well. i think that's what they are called when u don't put the cat on your car...

here's the 411. I bought B&B Exhaust (3" pipes) so i wanna get either a highflow cat or just a striaght pipe... but what are the advantages of each...
what do u guys think i should do? if you recommend keeping a cat on, what size and type would i need? i am totally in the dark about this subject...

P.S. i am sorry for yet ANOTHER exhaust question being posted to this group.. but i think it's a hot topic lately

depending on where you're at and the strictness of the laws, i'd say stick with a hi-flo cat. go with a 3" in 3" out. i've heard good things about catco, and it's not too expensive either. if you live in an area where they don't require emissions tests and they won't check, go for a straight pipe. more flow, louder sound.
you can\'t get off if you don\'t get on

since most states force you to have a cat I would say hi-flow

even if your state doesnt require e check or a catalytic converter, please do us all a favor, stay emissions friendly. we're polluted enough as it is.

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
