    In the service manual, the S-pipe is part of the cat, so you will have to deal with that (emissions laws). I don't know how it is attached to the cat, though. I was looking at it, and the pipe is welded to a plate, which is in turn attached to the cat, but I couldn't tell how right away. If that's true about the S-pipe being a big restriction, I may go ahead and see what I can do about it, but it will have to wait until I pass 50,000 miles.
