• Exhaust Changeout. Need Opinion.

I have a transam rear section exhaust. Im wondering if i change to a Delta 40 series flow will i have better performance gains? The trans am is already a single in dual out, and yet so is this one. I think the flowmaster will flow better than the stock take off but im not too sure. Someone give me their opinion.

Flow master does flow better, that's why you do get more raspiness with it, sometimes it may flow too much where it won't help horsepower...You'll be happy with Flowmaster, Edelbrock, Dynomax, B&B, Borla, just to name a few....Flowmaster is good 'Bang for the Buck' :D

I saw on the Flowmaster web site that they have a kit for V6 f-bodies. They have a sound clip of it on a '99 V6 Firebird: http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/we...PerfMuff9.html. It sounds pretty good!

Listen to the clip on the same page for the LT1, they're identical! There's no way a V6 sounds that good.

That's what I thought. I had a Flowmaster 80 on my car, and it never sounded that nice. I guess it's just wishful thinking that a full kit would sound that much better.
