                    i have rhino perf. exhaust on my 3.8l and it sounds almost like a v8, especially at low rpms, its not raspy at all! :eek:

                        I love my Dynomax 3 inch catback. Very deep exhaust note at cruising rpms. Deeper than my old stock 'stang GT that had headers. Sounds like a V8 without a muffler almost, and it hasn't been on a month yet. It's extraordinary. May not sound exactly like a V8 (I don't know though), but certainly not a V6. I dare anyone to guess that my car is a V6 at idle and WOT. The tone at WOT and over 3400rpms is amazing. I just love it. Highly recommend it. Everyone should get one. Ain't bullshi++ing. It's bad a$$. Get it! Get it! Get it! Sorry I rambled on and on. No I'm not. Everyone needs this system!

                          It all depends on your personall preference of deep throaty sounds or the way it idles and such. For the most part all mufflers are sound very similar, some deeper then others while some have more of a raspy sound. it also depends on the size of you cat. and I pipe and S pipe and of course whether or not you have headers. I personally prefer a deep throaty sound that comes off a 350 engine with a Corsa or Borla exhaust system. I also prefer the Ravin exhaust system because it sounds very similar to them and is cheaper price tag. But this is all personal prefernce and each car is going to sound a little different just based on the design of each car being slightly different. No two cars are exactly alike so of course sounds vary.
