Y-Pipe and exhaust

got up under the car the other day, and saw something i never noticed b4, the y-pipe looks like a frickin Z on the drivers side of the car, [edit] ok sorry the thing doesn't let me put spaces so i used a's to show space so everything would line up...[/edit]

now, why is there 4 90* turns in the exhaust system, well i know why cuz gm couldn't make the v-6 to powerful... but anyway, i feel that a custom y-pipe would help out a lot, so it looked like this

now to take car of the next set of 90* turns we could just use a less of a bed so it would look like this...

now as you may have guessed this took me a long time to get together but its ok i'm just writing a paper and got bored of it so anyway, thats what i want to do with the exhaust, if they make a custom y-pipe for our cars sorry, i didn't know and i want one, if not they need to dammit... i really want to do this but it probably won't be until the fall semester starts because summer school and 6 hours of classes sux... and 25-30hrs or work. so anyway if any one else has any ideas about this please throw them out on the table, now is the time...
