I just got this idea about taking my car completely off instead of buying a high flow one. I am an emissions inspector here in GA, so passing emissions wouldnt be a problem if you know what i mean. Now would this give me some power, or would i just loose back pressure. Also how many O2 simms am i gonna need, i'm asumming only one after the cat. Please let me know what you think?

P. S. I dont have a full cat back right now, all i have is a dynomax muffler with dual-out...

I have the cats off of the 96 SS and 91 Z28. i love it. the sound is great and the performance is definatley noticeable. i dont know about the o2 simms cuz i just reprogrammed my computer so it wont give me a check engine lite. i would say go for it.
i have my cutout, in place of my cat, that might be an idea for ya, but you need one O2 sim for after the cat, cuz it gave me problems after i capped it up, but its all good now... lemme us know if you need anything else, oh yeah power increase, yup, sounds a little different cuz its less restrictive but i wouldnt worry about back pressure...
It tells the computer there is enough oxygen in the exhaust. If you don't have a cat the sensor will read that there isn't enough oxygen and will throw a SES there for you get a O2 sim that sends a fake signal to the computer so you never see a SES light from that problem.
