  • Dynomax just installed

I just got my dynomax put in and i LOVE IT!! sounds great, the idle is a little louder than stock but its alot deeper. And what anyone said about it was right. It never sounds rice, no tin can sound at all. Its still breaking in, i can tell cause ive had it for 2 days now and each day it gets deeper, and the muffler still smells like burning rubber. Only thing is i hope the idle gets deeper. Im gonna get an O2 sim and take out my cat. Hopefully this should help.

A highflow cat will make the dynomax sound deep like the flows at idle.

I just got my Dynomax installed as well, and it is awesome! I got a Catco 3" in/out cat, and then the Dynomax 3" pipes all the way to the muffler. My muffler is 2.5" though, cause I wanted to keep my FastToys tips, but personally I think the little bit of backpressure doesn't hurt anything. The 3" pipe makes it pull quite a bit harder up top, and I can burn more rubber from a standstill now, so I think there are no drawbacks. Oh, and with the 3" pipe, my idle is deep beyond belief, especially when cold. :D WOW! I can feel the car idle, it's really friggin deep! Greatest feeling in the world.

Wanna hear it even deeper? Turn the AC on and listen. Puts a load on the engine. Kinda cool, though not cool when racing.
