• ? about edelbrock cat back

Can anybody give me the exact specs on the edelbrock exhaust. In the description from summit racing it says 3" mandrel bent tubing & a 3" inlet into the muffler. & 2.5 tail pipes. Is this pipe 3" all the way from the cat to the muffler? I heard it isn't. Would I be able to use a 3" high flow cat? Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks

the 3 in pipe only starts about a foot before the S pipe over the axle...the rest of what you heard is correct ;) .... love the sound on em though

Yes what nikon said is right i whish i woulda known that cause i want a full 3in all the way So i put on my Cia headers and 3 in cat then got 2 90 degree mandrel bent ends and cut them down to make the S and then chopped off the 2.5 inch section back to the 3 inch and replaces it with a 3 inch section it was alotta work and took alotta time so if you can fine a True 3 inch from the kat back kit i would suggest that but if your not gona do the full 3 then the edelbrok is a very nice bolt on otherwise

so let me get this straight cause I'm thinking Edelbrock also - if I were to get a high flow cat I would need one that matches the stock cat dimensions right? What exactly is that again (3 in,2.5out)? The reason I mention it is that I think my cat needs to be replaced (strange rattle and I think it's the cat) so I figure do it all at once and get a high flow cat.

I used a 3 inch on mine for this aplication i don;t think you wana go smaller then that anywhere i don't know what the outlet is on the RK sport hearders but on my CIA ones it was 3 so i'm 3 all the way back cause i wacked out the section on the Edelbrock that was 2.5
