• question about slp cai before i buy!

hey i got a question
i was wondering if everyone elses car is like this
on the passanger side, in front of the wheel there is a black plastic piece all the way down to the bottom, on the drivers side it only goes about half way down, then stops
is it supposed to be like that? to allow air in or something
or is it not? because it seems like water could pretty easily splash up in there, im really thinking about getting a slp cai soon, but i want to make sure that is how its supposed to be, dont want to suck water in the engine
i hope you guys know what im talking about
thanks

The SLP CAI only replaces the black intake box assembly on the driver's side.

The black assembly on the passenger's side is your engine coolant spillover can. You want to keep that.

arg i thought you wouldnt know what im talking about
ok its the thin black plastic piece
that makes up the wheel well basically, along the top, back and front
and it like snaps onto the car
get it now?
on the passanger side its complete
on the drivers side i could reach up and change my blinker light
without removing anything
because it dosent go all the way down
and i can see the bottom of my air box by looking on front of the wheel
i hope i made myself clear now lol
now is it supposed to be like that or not?

You're probably missing the bottom plastic piece that goes on the front driver's side.

hrm ok
its not really the bottom, more like the front side
its like the last 1/3 of it or so comming down to meet the bottom
and it doesnt look like it was broken off or anything, it has nice rounded edges?
on the passenger side its all one piece
so would i need to get a whole new piece? or are you talking about the very bottom of it
i wish i had a digi cam arg
i won the cai on ebay, $152 =D,
