      If not, HOPEFULLY, I can take it to my dad's friend and he will just overlook the headers as long as it passes the other tests...

        You should have got them coated with a black ceramic coat. They probably wouldn't even notice then. You could always try to rig up the heatshields back in place somehow so they can't be seen too.

              The headers did make a difference in the sound of my car... I havn't decided if I like it more this way or not. I will try to post some clips after I get my header bolts tightened on the passenger side.

              And no, didn't have to put the heat shields back on.
