  • B&B + CIA headers sound clip

Big thanks go to Derrick (Dojo2000) for posting these clips on the web for me.

Check out the sound of my B&B Tri-Flo exhaust at:
    http://www.appstate.edu/~do54457/azc...B_B_TRIFLO.MP3

Here's the sound of the B&B catback with Clear Image Headers installed:
    http://www.appstate.edu/~do54457/azc...CIAHEADERS.MP3

If you're thinking about headers, I would definitely recommend CIA. Dan over at Clear Image replies SUPER fast to emails, and the quality of the work can't be beat. Lemme know if you like the sound!

pics of the headers are on page 2 of my cardomain site

I had a buddy hold onto it while I started the car...Hard to tell how far he had the mike away from the rearview...I thought the mp3 player just sucked at recording.

I'll try again tonight, thanks for the suggestion.

I've just sent two more sound clips to Dojo2000 so he can upload them to the web for me.

As far as the car itself, I've got 13000 miles on it right now. I love the car to death. The only thing I would change is to have paid the extra $$$ for some cruise control and a hatch release.

I'll post the links to the new sounds when they're up.

I've got the clips ready. I think Dojo2000 may, understandably, not want to start holding onto all sorts of some other guys files.

So I'm starting a webpage through ASU. As soon as I figure out what in the world I'm doing, I'll put a link up. I've got a site and I can put text in alright, but I'm having trouble putting in audio (total newbie to webhosting).

Hopefully I'll have it figured out later tonight. Check back soon! Any tips are appreciated.

Okay, Dojo2000 put up some more sounds for me. I'm still trying to do an honest to goodness website (not cardomain) but it's slow.

                      http://www.appstate.edu/~do54457/azcamaro/

"front" is with the microphone infront of the car 6 feet.

"rear" is with the microphone behind the car 6 feet.

I recorded some in-car acceleration runs, and it seems that my MP3 recorder just sucks with picking up a revving engine. So the distortion you hear is just crappy equipment...the mic isn't really that close to the source (and the it does get LOUD at WOT anywhere behind the car). It's capturing the idle sound pretty good though.

Check it out and let me know what you think.

                            Dojo,

I just sent you 1.3 Megs (in 8 files) of sounds in a zip file. If you never get it because of the size, let me know.
