• Loudmouth.Put on or Be gone

I've had the double dual loudmouth sitting in my garage for over a year untouched. I believe it's 2 1/2 inches. I'm getting a catco put on later this week. Should I finally get the loudmouth on or sell the thing. I want noticable noise. I will accept a little rice up high if it doesn't get to crazy. I try to stay below 2k rpm when I drive anyway. Currently I've got a flowmaster on stock pipes.

the slp takes after its namesake, its friggin loud. it does get a bit ricy up in the higher rpms but down low you will sound like a beast. i think the rice starts to kick in at about 3500 or 4000 rpm. but that is a nice exhaust. if you dont want it let me know though cause im about to get one. the nice thing about them is they just have a resonator not a full muffler so it flows slightly better (less bends and less deflecting). I would tell you to try to find a sound clip of a v6er with it before you do it. it might be to ricy for you.

Rice my a$$ man, if rice sounded like my loudmouth ANYWHERE in my RPM range I'd be driving a Honda right now! The fact is the loudmouth is pretty deep and hums below 3k but after that it gets dragster loud, at least it does on my car, maybe I'm an exception to the rice rule on the LM? I'm still stock from the block to the cat, but after that it's the THREE INCH Loud Mouth welded in. Like I said under 3k its mellow, hums, and has loud resonance inside the car, above 3k til about 4500-4800 it's loud and from there to redline it's extremely loud like a top-fuel dragster!

You can't go wrong with the LM in any case, it's a beast of a cat-back. So go get it welded on already!

            You're on crack.

Let someone else drive your car by you,,and you will think it's a Honda.

You honestly think your 3.8 compares to the sound of a dragster??

even on the v8 the lm without having a muffler in place of the resonator sounds kinda drone sounding/high pitched at certain rpm, especially ricey on a v6, maybe you like that louder than honda on fart can sound its cool to each his own

Hey man I'm just telling you as I hear it. There's nothing but rice around here in Norfolk and my car sounds nothing like any of them. There's quite a difference between a fat cannon and having no muffler whatsoever . Maybe it's different on the 3.4s with cast manifolds, but on a 3.8 with with tubular headers it sounds pretty mean. I can't wait to replace my y-pipe and cat with 3" stuff as well.

My only real complaint with the loudmouth is that its deafening to anyone in the back passenger side seat cuz they're sitting right on top of the resonator. It also makes having a headache a lot worse if you're down around 2k and droning along in traffic. In warm weather with the windows down or tops off it's great though, come on Spring hurry up and get here!
