has anyone tried straight pipes on a 3.8, i'm gonna cut off the flowmaster on my cat back, so other that the resonator that came with it i will be running straight through after the converter. any advice or sound clips from anyone?
bad news- the 96 bird is gone<br />good news- a 95 trans am replaced it:lt4 cam and heads, msd, hooker headers,3inch flowmaster, cold air induction, and some laughin gas!

I ran completly straight pipes for a while. It sounded like **** right after 2500 rpms. If i had a sound clip i would post it but i don't. also it was waaaaayyyyy loud.

suggest not 'cutting' the system...but rather disconect the section aftr the resonator and before the axle cross over. fire up the car. don't bother taking it off the jackstands...you will be back under there to reconect the rest of the system.
