  • Does anyone make alumium or copper gaskets for our headers?

    I was wondering if anyone knows a place that will make the collector gaskets in alum or copper for my pacestters. My passenger side collector leaks so i woulnd't mind getting another set. HOw much hp Am i probally losing?

        you prolly didnt torque them down enough..

        i have ZERO leakes what so ever right now..

        those collectors are designed to not need gaskets

          I ment the headers ifself then. That go on the engine. SOrry. My passenger side leaks, i don't know if the gasket wasnt lined up right or what.

            did you follow proper procedure?


            as in keep retorqueing them for about 3 days?


            because heating them up and cooling them down will cause the bolts to expand and become loose.. you gotta keep retorqueing them


            also, did you soak your paper gaskets in water before the installation? that can be another reason

              Ya i retorqued them, plus i had the gaskets soak over night. THe passengerside header leaked from the beganing. I need to get anohter set. Hopefully someone will just sell me the gaskets.

                they have gaskets.. copper and other metals and whatnot

                  No. I hear they leak bad if you try to install the pacesetters with metal gaskets. Just call pacesetter and see if they will send you another set of gaskets.

                    o ya dont use the stock manifold ones, i did in the begianing in totally regreted it. Ya ill call pacesetter.
