I did a search and what I pretty much concluded is that a 160 t-stat will only throw codes on 01s and 02s. I've thought about getting a 160Tstat, since I live in AZ etc.
It should be ok on my car right? I have a manual fan switch, but I still haven't hooked it up yet.

I would recommend buying HPTuners so that you can fix that if it doesn't work. It also wouldn't be a bad idea to get it just to tune the fan on/off levels and whatnot.
