  • O2 simulator?

Can anyone tell me where I can get the best deal on a O2 simulator? Will the one(s) for a V8 work on a V6?

So, ummm, does anybody here know the answer to whether a v8 sim is also the correct part for the v6...

The thunderracing site (referenced in the above post) only lists the v8 part, and there is no listing under the v6 category.

I just realized the 02 sim is the only missing ingredient in all the parts I have ordered for my exhaust system so far.

My CIA and Borla combo should be arriving tomorrow! Everything else is here (catco, 45's, clamps) Oh yeah, and running out to get some stock manifold gaskets and sealer.

Technically, you should only need the post-cat simm.

Don't be so sure that it will work, mine doesn't, never has. I've already swapped out one because I was getting low voltage from it and now it's doing with the replacement.

I'm looking into building one myself. Check out this site for details. http://www.zx2racing.com/mods/mods_mil.htm

Thanks for the feedback on the V8 sim being the same as the V6.

As far as needing one, I am replacing the entire exhaust, and there is no post-cat bung in the new one. I haven't noticed where the existing post-cat sensor is on the current setup (haven't looked yet), but I'm assuming there is one, and that I will need to sim it when the new exhaust goes on. (unless I get a bung welded in, but I am doing the bolt-on at home approach, so a trip to the welder/exhaust shop was not in the plan).

IRS aka Internet Racers Supply..... Beware though alot of ppl don't like IRS. I ran my o2 simm for over a yr w/o a problem. I even sold the second one I had to Stefan.

Thanks for the help w/ the O2 simulator. My next step is to either remove the cat or buy a high flow catalytic converter. I'm still tring to figure this out(I've got the state inspection covered but i want to do whatever gives me the most hp). Any suggestions?
