• New magnaflow muffler installed (questions for owners)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA i got my new magnaflow 3"in 2.5" outs muffler installed today.. ITS GREAT!!!

I am running i w/ a catco and its on edelbrock pipes from my old system..

anyway.. its much much quieter then the edelbrock.. its kind of a trade off.. i kinda like how its quieter now..

the only thing is.. when i rev it up.. and slow down w/ it in gear.. its sonds like a dump truck!! its soooooo funny?

Anyone here have the magnaflow and know what I am talking about?? does it go away when it breaks in?? its really funny.. its like..

BUAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! when i let off the gas at high rpms..

anyway its tight.. i like it.. alot less irratating then the edelbrock and its a much better built muffler IMO the welds are awsome it looks indestructable..

I drove it around some more this eavning.. i like it alot.. When you really lay into it it makes the most horrendous noise you can imagine.. but.. its normal cruising behavior is AWSOME!! nice a quiet, almsot no resonence at ALL at idle and moderate throttle unlike the edelbrock and hoe-master.. but when you lay it down its the most gratifying scream i have ever heard a car make.. it almost sounds like its in pain..

thanks for the info and videos..

The sound is so so on those vids so i cant really tell.. But i think mine is a little rougher sounding.. How long had he had that muffler when the video was made?? in miles??

regardless.. i realllllly LOVE how well behaved the muffler is.. i meen.. you can really control how it sounds with the throttle, most of yall wont understand what i am talking about unless you have have the magnaflow..

          its quite bizzare..

That HORRENDOUS noise will go away when it breaks in. It still sounds like a 6 on full throttle, but it won't sound so much like it is SCREAMING, and more like it does at idle. Also it seems that it the car is warmed up, then it sounds better too.

I'm not sure how long it took mine to break in, but it wasn't long. I just have the straight through muffler. I love my exhaust, even with its one chrome tip. Sleeper
