i have a faulty maf sensor and it needs to be replaced. mechanic wants $400 for the part, labor, and clearing the SES codes. can i do it myself or is this the only way? he said i have a faulty maf which is causing the SES light. a cylinder has misfired a lot too, and lately the stuttering has gotten worse. thanks for any info

    Where are you in Jersey?
I have a scanner that will show and delete the codes, and another maf if you need it. It's for a 95-97 3.8l engine. I was gonna sell it to cassie, but I guess she didn't need it after all.
    Let me know...

Oh, and labor is about 1 minute of work. It is super easy to replace!!

        You got mail!
If you go over the tacony bridge, you end up in the center of my district at work. Or, I can go over there. Either way, we are basically within 15 minutes from each other.

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
