My friend wanted to install pacesetter headers, remove the cat, and install SLP loudmouth catback. We have installed the headers and an O2 sensor simulator and cut the rest of the exhaust system out. The car runs terrible now, the SES light stays on and will blink once the engine is under load. Can anyone please help me on this???

Umm ... you are running open headers, or open y-pipe?

You probably didn't hook up a spark plug wire, or an O2 correctly, etc.

umm, are you simulating the o2 sensor before the cat or after the cat. And are you just running the headers and the y-pipe?

we are simulating the O2 before the cat, we were just running straight y pipe and headers but now we have installed loudmouth and it is still running like a dog.

If you dont have an 02 sensor after the Cat im pretty sure that causes the SES light to come on.

the o2 before the cat DOES NOT get simulated only the after cat one, the precat is a downstream oxy sensor if im not mistaken that must read normally. The post car sensor merely checks to see if the cat is running efficiently and can be sim'd. Put the precat sensor in and sim the post cat sensor and see how it goes.

This is all messed up I called RKsport(where we ordered the sim from) and they said to sim the sensor before the cat. We had it postcat before but it doesn't seem like it runs any differently either way.
