  • Chromeintake's CAI from ebay, question

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2464966259

I bought this cold air intake off ebay from a member called ChromeIntakes and I think he may have sent me the wrong one. I thought I would post here because I remember seeing another person here who had bought and installed the same cold air intake, so I thought I would post it here in hopes they could compare it to theirs.

I have a 97 3.8L Firebird and I went to put the cai in today and it looks like it doesnt quite fit. The person helping me who owns a 97 Grand Prix GT says that this cai appears to be for a front-wheel drive vehicle.

What do you think? Did he send me the wrong kind or do I just need to bite the bullet and try and cram it in there? It looks like it will *might* line up enough to work. What do you all think?

Of course, I have emailed the guy I bought it from for the installation instructions that I requested, but he normally takes awhile to reply.

    Here's some pictures of it:

    Thanks for your help

refund it and go homedepot style. 4" aluminum dryer duct and regular filter. cost me $37 and I can place my filter anywhere..either that cool air spot under stock filter or right next to the ground. I got at least 5-8 hp and still havent perfected it yet.
