• Replacing the cat?

Hey guys, I searched and nothing really answered my question...this is pretty stock specific, too (I'm sure not many of you guys touch "stock" with a 10 foot stick). I'm finally getting decent cash flow, so now its time for my baby to get her well earned upgrades.

First, short of a ebay CAI, my car is completely stock down to the plugs and wires. I plan on upgrading the exhaust, probably to a Rumbler..but this is going to be pretty far down the road. My cat is clogged, and I've been looking into a high-flow one for awhile now. What is the pipe size for a stock 3.4L, and what would I need? What is the best brand? Universal, Direct fit, ..?

Also while I'm getting this done I'm thinking about getting a cutout. What is the pros and cons of this (I like my exhaust loud, but I've heard of it making a mess, doing stuff to the bottom of the car, causing rattles, etc).

Thanks in advance, guys.

i believe its 2.25, although i suck at numbers, hehe, i myself use a carsound <magnaflow cat>
cutouts, on a 3.4 sound like butt, plain and simple. wont do anything except make you lose trq, gain hp, and give you a head ache.
I will take on all comers...or come on all takers!!! Whichever you prefer.
