    Could not have said it better myself, when I had dyno numbers to prove that !MAF screen was worthless, people always had something to comeback with. :rolleyes:

      The quote from the tech database is false. It's not more effieint. It's providing more volume. More volume means more flow at high RPM but since it takes a longer time to fill that volume to actualy become efficent you lose low end grunt untill your farther up the band. you want unimpeaded flow matched with a lot of volocity. When you step up the diamiter you LOSE volicty untill you reach higher up the RPM range. Depending on when you reach this power determains if you actualy gain anything from it.
      Think of it this way.

      Would you rather have a 200HP car that peaks hits 200HP at 5900 RPM, or would you rather have a 190HPcar that starts pulling 190 at 3500-6000 RPM? Sure the 200HP looks good, but unless your shifting at 7 grand your NEVER going to use any of the power. Like I said. Peak power looks good on a dyno chart. Average HP gets you down the track

        I have a nearly FLAT torque curve, I make about 150hp across the whole band, hence my track times.

          All this bickering aside, I wondered the same thing when I put on my Flowmaster... so I went to the junk yard and pulled a hanger off of a 3rd gen V6. It isn't an exact match, but it holds a properly tightened exhaust system without noise. It was free because it was such a small part.\

          BTW I pulled 89.8 MPH through the 1/4 mile w/ 3" straight back, headers and 17x9's. That was before my cam install... haven't run it since though.

              My advise to everyone is to think for therselves. Don't take what the majority says and accept it. Look over the FACTS and deside for yourself. All I can tell is you all is that far far too often the internet is one big popularity contest. One high profile user says something and it's automaticly written in stone and will always meet resistence when it's chalenged.
