I have my heart set in putting a flowmaster 80 series muffler on my 1995 3.4L firebird. I think it is the best muffler for me since I rarely drive in the high rpm range. Now I have heard the exhaust on 3.8's and 5.7's and boy does it sound damn good. What are your experiences with them on 3.4L v6's. I am mostly concerned with how it sounds at low rpms and below 40 mph.

I like it. It's loud, raunchy, and a little deeper than it used to be. I've had it on for a little over a year. It only sounds high pitched at 4.5-5k rpm, which is redline... who pushes their car that hard anyways???

I ordered a Dynomax superturbo off ebay. I hope it sounds as good as the Flowmaster! I just want to tone the volume down a bit... I'm getting a little deaf, since I have to turn up my stereo a bit! I also want to hear my buddies talking to me.

hey i found some exhaust clips of the flowmaster 80 series on a 3.4L V6. http://www.geocities.com/pnlt_kck/blkmjctwo.html
What do you guys think of it, I think it sounds awesome. The first recording is the muffler before it is burnt up, how long does it take for the muffler to burn up.

Anyone else have this muffler on their 3.4L, tell me your experiences.

Takes a few months/few thousand miles. Mine took about 3-4K miles to break in nicely, the longer u have it the louder it gets.

Sounds even nicer w/ a highflow cat/intake

alright damnit, i know you guys dont have true dual exaust, so how in the hell did you get the 80 series to work, on the flowmaster website it says its for 8's only, meaning its a 2 in 2 out, how do u make it a 1 in 2 out (1 in 2 out is what you guys have right)

mike what you need is part #Flo-42583 from summitracing.com It has one 2.5 inch inlet and two 2.5inch outlets. Costs about 72 dollars plus shipping. It says the muffler is for 83-92 v8 fbodies, but fits our 93-up's perfect.

V-8 camaros and firebirds have similar exhaust setups to a v-6. They are all 1 inlet and 2 outlet.
