• Confused on current codes....

Ive been running my current setup I dont know, 8 months or so. Pacesetters, carsound cat, LT1 Magnaflow cat-back w/ a zzp post cat sim. replaced front 3 02 sensors a couple months ago. Now all of a sudden I have the P0420 code again. Havent had it since I put in the exhaust and sim.

Ive banged on the cat, sounds fine. And the sim problem was basically with 00+ cars, mines a 97. What the hell do I replace? Do I just order the casper sim, expecting that to do the job the zzp sim is appareantly no longer doing? I dont want to just start randomly picking things and spend needless money as I was just about to place an order for suspension goodies.

I just know that Im pissed off, after FINALLY getting all the exhaust related codes cleared and rid of the SES light a couple months ago after a year fo staring at the annoying light on the dash.

Isnt there 2 O2 sensors?
maybe one of the sims went out, maybe the waires of the O2 sensor fried.
Any axhaust work ive done for friends, its usually always the O2 sensors.
i know this doesnt help out much, but if i find anything else out ill be sure to let you know
I will take on all comers...or come on all takers!!! Whichever you prefer.

The best way is to get a tune that deletes the codes completely, then you never have to worry about it popping up again I love HP Tuners!

Ya mine didn't work at first either to be honest, but we went back and disabled P0420 (a newly discovered code thrown by aftermarket cats) and I never saw another SES light. I'm pretty sure sims won't work for that particular code, at least thats what everyone told me when I had the same issue about 6 months ago.

Call Jason at TSP and talk with him about it. I'm sure he'll take care of you

Im thinking going through Abbot Racing and matching WickedSix's heads/cam/injector setup this spring.
I might just hold off until that work is done and get the PCM back to TSP for another update.
