    The magazine Camaro performance pg83 mentioned K&N Fuel Injection Performance Kit that its carb tag proof. I went to the website at kn and still say not carb proof in cali.. Anybody hear about this

      I think they're all legal.
      Mine has a CARB sticker for it [img]smile.gif[/img]

              Air Cleaner Modification - modifications to the air cleaner and/or its housing.
              Air Filter/Intake Modification - open element air filters, modifications to the air flow intake tract, heat risers/preheat ducts.
              Engine Modification/Engine Change - kits that include multiple engine modifications such as new cylinder heads and camshafts, or boring and stroking; engine changes using an engine certified for another late model vehicle application, with additional engine modifications .
              Exhaust System/Exhaust Modification - exhaust manifold, exhaust headers, exhaust pipes, crossover pipes, etc.
              Fuel Line Modification - devices designed to attach to or be inserted in the fuel line.
              Fuel System Modification - fuel filters, gas caps, pressure regulators.
              Intake/Exhaust System - a kit that includes both intake and exhaust components.

                I don't think ALL of that stuff listed is illegal. It might be illegal if you do that without a CARB number (For california), but with a CARB or OE number you should be fine.

                And I don't know if its worth it... you can tell a difference at night, but not really during the day. I wouldn't do it for $300 ... find a used one, or make one. I'd do PCM tuning for $300 [img]smile.gif[/img]

                  i have the K&N filtercharger...it was the very first mod i did to my camaro, and let me tell you, it was worth the $280 i paid for it. got very noticebale gains in hp/torque, not to mention a great sound from the intake! i would reccomend it to anyone.

                    At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
                    Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
