• Wild V6/60 deg. V6 intake

Ran across this picture of a wild intake set up for the 60 dregee V6s. It's made by Ryan Falconer Racing Engines. Didn't know if anyone had seen it before. Just want to share. Would look bad *** under the hood of a 4th gen IMO.

As far as price, I couldn't tell ya, you would have to ask Ryan Falconerthis design is atlest as old as 1988. What i do know is that it has a hellaciously wide torque curve. But as for racing sure, but any F.I. setup can be maintained through an aftermarket ECM.

yep seen it before. The 60* v6 was used in alot of racing series and many race engiens have been built out of it.

Yep, thats a racing intake all right. Individual throttle plate for each cylinder. Efficient but expensive.

Would it pass inspection?

real question is how big of a hole in the hod would you have to cut to get it ot fit, and I highly doubt it would pass an emissions test.

As long as some careful planning was taken to reintroduce the exhaust gases back in to the intake and whatever else I don't see why it coln't be made to pass emissions. Speaking frm an engineerig point of view anything can be done. Atleast in Montgomery co. Ohio they just look at the end result(tailpipe)and a good working catalitic converter shop be able to count for any increase in exhaust gas emissions. I know that in OH that say for instance you blow your V6 engine tht i is legal to replace it wit any drivtrain designed for that year and chassis. So you col replace it with V8 and stil pass the emissions Legally. As far as I understand the law there.
As to fitment, of course there is a hieght restricton but you might squeeze it in there by modifying the fuel injection lines wth fuel rails and the air horns might need to be replaced with a ducted setup or shortened to be at home in the engine compartment. But in the end imagine the Oh My God facor when you pop the hood and people crowd around. Just nice tobrainstorm something dfferent every now and again. The big ? is can that be run of the stock cpu?
It would be killer to have that intake, aluminum heads,10.5 cr custom pistons, the big solid cam from crane, and a 100 horse n2o fogger on a 3.4
hows than on the omg factor
...that intake looks like it'll fit under a cowl hood...

Pro Action out of Australia makes a setup kinda like that for their 14* small block chevy heads, its looks even cooler than that setup, but its
expensive!!

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
