i want a new one--any suggestions on how i can make my cat go bad so that gm has to replace mine. i know, i know, get a catco, they're only $50. well i don't have that $50 =P and i'm pretty sure mine is a little clogged, so i figure a new one from gm won't be a whole lot different. any suggestions at all?

i called gm and they say that the problem with the cat has to be internal--you can't hit it with a baseball bat, put a big dent in it, and expect them to replace it for free. so, any other suggestions on how to completely ruin my cat? i want a new one for free

You can unbolt it, then take a crowbar to the internals, then bolt it back up. Just the rust is a pain to break through. But it will work.
