• Borla full block off plate

Where can I get one of these? I haven't done a lot of looking around but I know someone out there has to know right off hand. I think this would help my car sound a little bit cleaner. I just put my CIA headers in and my catco in so it's really freak'n loud with the open plate. I bought it used so I don't have the block off plate. I can live with the sound but I would like to see what it sounds like with the full block off plate. Thanks again guys.

Okay I'll try to post on my own question here since no one seems to be aware I guess . Okay, I called Borla up and asked them for a full block off plate and the guy told me that they have to sell the plates in set which comes to $20 + shipping which is $20 = $40!! What a ripp off!!! He told me that the cheap alternative is get an exhaust shop to make one for me out of 14 gauge steel which according to him was very easy for the shops to do and would be cheap. Any comments?? Also if anyone has one I will buy it from you. Thanks. One more thing, he said that the plate with a 1 1/2" hole made the most power and sounded the best??? Any comments fellas???? Cool, let me know. It sounds awsome but I think it would sound a little bit better with the plate since I got the headers and the cat.

i lost mine and had to make my own from a steel plate. cost: free. exhaust shop is probably the next cheapest route.
i was swimming in the carribean. animals were hiding behind the rocks except for the little fish, but they told me the squid\'s trying to talk to me. oink, oink. where is my mind?

wouldn't putting the block off plate make your car have too much back pressure since it would be re-routing the exhaust flow through the Borla chamber causing your car to have weak high-end power? Or do I not know what i'm talking about?

Supersix, trust me. When you put headers on your car and have a borla exhaust you will know what I'm talking about. The headers are pushing so hard that at 4500-5000 rpms it is incredibly raspy. It's a bit too much. I feel like I have my old cutout back again. Adding the block off plate will significantly help. I'll let you know how it turns out.Later.

btw, a friend of mine is hooking me up with one for $10. Lucky me!! :D :D :D :D

the full block off plate gives you a lot more noticable horse power than the other plates. it sounds a LOT quieter though, but with headers it will probably sound good. You should have 2 made, one full block off, and one a very small hole, smaller than the smallest plate, just to see how it sounds.

peace

True dat, I put the full block of plate and the mofo has some serious pulling power!!! I would like to see what a plate with a 1" hole could do. There has to be a best of both worlds kinda thing. It is a little bit quiet but it sounds clean which is hard to get sometimes. I'm happy with the headers and thefact that you can throw in different plates into your exhaust and tweek it is very cool.

I took my borla catback off, and returned it.. it fit like crap and rattled. plus I didnt like the sound of any plates, too ricey for me. the full block off sounded good, but it was really queit, and the system still rattled. too kit to several shops, then took it off. i'm having a spintech catback intalled, left my car over night today
