get a resonator in the I-pipe or put resonated tips on in order to get rid of the popping. my 3" flowmaster 80 cat-back popped really bad when they first put it on w/o tips, and then when they put the tips on, it didn't pop at all. it'll still be pretty loud, and it'll be smoother than it was before.

I think the resonator in the i-pipe will do little for the popping. I believe the popping is mainly due to oversized tips.

I think an 3 inch I-pipe will make it louder/deeper, but I think that rasp is mainly muffler, and that the popping is mainly tips.

              By: Hib Halverson

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
