  • Sealing Whisper Lid

I noticed that with the sticky foam tape that was provided with my Whisper Lid, I wasn't able to get a great seal. The whole thing just didn't seem airtight around the edges.

I went to home depot and bought some more tape and then sealed the hell out of it.

I was wondering if anyone else did this and noticed a performance difference. I'm assuming it should be airtight for optimal performance.

BigEd, I had the same problem and I pretty much did what you did. After the install, I ran the car at the track. It knocked off .2-.3 tenths off my 1/4 time.
