• another true dual exhaust

i just wanted to say i am new here and just last week i got pacesetter headers installed with catco cats into a dynomax dual inlet dual outlet. it sounds awesome and is very quiet unless you floor it no rasp at all and at highway speeds there is almost no sound just a deep rumble. i got pics no sound just got to figure out how to get them on here.

i will send them out tomorrow. the majority of the exhaust is 2 1/4in. where we went over the trans brace is 2in. and it is also 2in. over the axle tube. the reason for the 2in. over the tube is because of the placement of the muffler would not allow for a sharp bend in the 2 1/4.so we went 2 in over the axle then at the very top went back to 2 1/4. both tail pipes come out of the driver side lined up on the tail light.i got part numbers if you want them also.

I'm dying to know how it sounds!!!!! I was looking at the dynomax dual in/out muffler a while back, as well as the flowmaster 80 dual in/out...

          PLEASE POST SOUND CLIPS!!!

People keep saying that true duals on our cars suck, but my buddy's 3.8 Stang has it and it sound awesome! It never gets raspy in the upper levels and sound smooth and deep at a cruise...

So it hindered performance? Dang! Did affect acceleration, topend, or just overall performance?

Ok, a total of 4 inches through the majority of the tubing... (2 and 2 on each side), would that be too much flow? I'm curious because I was considering the dynomax dual in muffler as well.

I bet it'd be great for a forced inducted car?!?

i wiil be e-mailing the pics to bluebird so he can host them. big thanks. the performance on mine was not hurt at all. it gets up and goes alot quicker(note to self:got to take it easy at stop lights to keep from spining the tires) i dont have a dyno anywhere local but my butt-o-meter tells me that it is reall worth it. i will be going to sears tonight to get a program so i can get sound clips onto the board as soon as possable. and 2in. exhaust piping will be ok on our cars i got 2 1/4 on the majority of mine. but if you take the drivers side cat over the trans brace like i did then 2in. would give you more clearence. last note for now it runs alot better than it did with single and is about as quiet as the stock setup at idle and cruising. loud on the gas though

Record it with a small tape recorder, than play it, and record it with "Sound Recorder"(standard on windows) because I have ants in my pants and want to hear it so badly!
