• For anybody with headers in California, read this

The time has come to smog my car, so I call to make an appointment.

To make a long story short, I guess they will not pass you if you don't have a sticker with your headers. I have some papers with the EO# proving my car is smog legal, but you have to have a gay *** little sticker that says the same thing the papers do, otherwise they won't pass you.

So, if you have headers and live in CA, you need a sticker or you will not pass smog.

Cut out the paper cert, laminate it and glue it to something?

Are they particular about where it should be stuck? I hope they don't think the sticker should be on the headers.

Well the sticker still isn't here :(
Pacesetter must use like mentally handicapped delivery drivers, because their stuff gets here SLOOOOOOWWWWWW.

I called the california B.A.R. and they said I can make an appointment with a smog refree who will give me a sticker too... but its easier to get the sticker from pacesetter rather than go through all the extra trouble.

Once the sticker gets here I will go smog and let you guys know if I pass

EVERYTHING needs a CARB sticker..
I have a sticker for my CAI, coils, wires, MSD ignition, and hopefully headers...
If they see the intake and no sticker you will be failed on the visual inspection, better call SLP and get a sticker!

The smog guy I go to said head would pass me with just the paperwork as I was showing it to him. Never said I had to have the sticker too. I think it also depends on who you go to. Some smog guys are just a$$holes.

This guy is supposed to be my dad's friend :( He's passed some oakey rigged stuff before, but we talked to his wife and she said california requires a sticker. I think she doesn't know wtf she's talking about, but the state of CA wanted me to call a smog referee and I didn't want to go through all that horse sh*t so I'm just waiting for the damn sticker.

I just called pacesetter for the sticker and am waiting for it now. I guess the mail is slow since I called last week, so if its not here by the end of this week I will call again to make sure it was sent.

There is a guy I can go to down in Irvine that will pass anything for a hundred bucks, but I don't want to spend the extra money expecially when I should pass now! Maybe the state is investgating them or something so they're playing by the book, I dunno... just be warned guys. I would call and ask if you have any questions before you take your car in and it fails.
