• Will I have any problems with this setup?

This weekend I'm going to the local muffler shop to get an estiment on a new exhaust setup. This is it: 2.5" pipes, no cat, cutout just before the rear axle, borla 2.5" inlet, dual 2.5" outlet, and quad borla intercooled tips. Will I notice a loss in lowend power while the computer adjusts itself to the new higher flow, and will this cause any perminent damage? Thanks for all the help!

Don't know how smart no cat would be. I would just put in a gutted or high flow cat, leave some backpressure. Also, you may trigger some engine lights with no cat. Not worth the trouble.

Isn't a gutted cat the same as just putting a straight pipe in there? I mean wouldn't it just be a large opening in the pipes. I don't have to worry about getting caught really because we don't have vehicle inspections here in Iowa.

Try it... you don't have an oxygen sensor to worry about like the 3.8's do. If you don't like it then you can always get a high flow cat (which is what I'm gonna do)

If your gonna run a cutout, you might as well put a cat on the car. Not sure how ur emissions are in IOWA, but in illinois, we need cats :( .

Gutted cat is a cheap way of putting in a straight pipe.

All-in-all, sounds like a sweet setup. But i would drop in a cat, at least a highflow cat.

          Good luck!
