Well I did this mod to my 3.4 during the summer and felt a slight gain so overall I was happy with it. However now it's winter and even though it's Cali I'm at 3000 ft and overnight it gets below freezing into the 20s and the high during the day is 50* if I'm lucky. My car seems to take an abnormal amount of time to reach operating temperature, and sometimes, like yesterday, I drove around for about an hour and never got above 175*. Now I did a search on this and everyone says the only real con do this mod is that in colder climates it's not a good idea. With my temperature and situation is likely that the TB bypass is preventing my engine from warming up and should I just reverse this mod and put the coolant tubes back to how they were?

Yeah, the throttle body will still get warm from heat soak.
