Well today, i removed my MAF, tried to do it very carefully, mine is a little bit damaged, i didnt see the whole in the ring, so i i was trying to pry the ring. But mine is still good. I took it out and started it up, it was a rough idle. So i reset the computer, by removing the fuses, and it runs fin now. The idle has a slight lope, but nothing like before, and it picks up faster, and before i reset during acceleration, it was bogging down, that went away. Now it accelerates alot better at low and top end. I took it out on the highway, it picked up really well at 50+. SO no problems with it yet. My car is a stock 97.

With a stock intake, the mod has minimum negative affect. A problem may arise if you install a CAI - that changes the air flow pattern into the TB/MAF.
