  • Oxygen Sensors Bad?

I know they've had their last days. i've got 100K miles and they are still stock. My gas mileage hasn't been up to par, and I've been noticing that right after I polish my chrome tips after I run the car my tips get sooted in carbon. I've read that this could be the cause. Are there any other signs that they are bad? What improvements would I see when i change them? Thanks GUYS!

Sounds like it... also check your EGR, but I am willing to bet that it's the O2 sensors. All you do is disconnect them and replace them it's really simple to do. When you change a bad O2, your car will have better gas mileage and run more efficiant.

With 100K miles on those things, I would strongly suggest that you change them. They are not expensive at all, and like Liquid said, they are a snap to change.
