  • K&N fuel injection performance kit

Is the fuel injection performance kit really necessary if you going to use a cold induction package. The answer may be obvious but i am brain dead right now from dealing with these !@#$% computer viruses here at work

I think that is the cold air intake.

It's called the K&N FIPK, right?

Yeah... think they're the same thing.

all its goin to do is give you better top end. you may not even notice it, but technically youll be getting more cooler air to the engine. most of the aftermarket intake mods are extremely overpriced for what you get.

has anyone ever tried those 50 buck ebay intakes??
from waht i see it seems like its the same thing. Its all metal tubing, striaght bolt on, and it has a K&N filter, shouldn't it give u the same results as an SLP intake or K&N fIPK?

what year is your car? you said its the same as darkthoughts. if thats so, the slp cai and the k&n fipk that everyone is talking about will not really fit your car (not without some modification anyway). What you can do for your intake with a 98+ is ramair / whisper lid ect. The ebay style kit wont work on your car either... these kits have induction tubes that go down the side near the wheel well.

If your car is a 97 or earlier, you can go with the slp cai (the one with the dual tubes and filters). This kit is basically the same as the fipk, but many will agree that its a lot nicer than the k&n version. If you have a 3.4, the price is basically the same and the choice is yours. Of course... the slp kit looks cooler than the k&n if you ask me :D

as for the ebay kits, if you really want to try that, go to autozone, they sell those honda intake pipes. and K&n cone filters. You can try it, but i dont think it would be any different than te stock setup.

It was much easier to take a grinder to the nostrils on my car then to dish out the money for cold air intake. Its funny when you look at the front of your car and can actually see the underside of a K&N staring at you.
